LeadIQ helps you with the hard part: uncovering the lead data for high-quality prospects so your sales development team can jump in and close the deal.

Today, we examine LeadIQ. When we evaluated multiple tools, LeadIQ consistently came out on top as a way to build pipeline confidence. We examine its pros, cons, and top alternatives to consider instead.

What is LeadIQ and who is it for?

LeadIQ’s top features

You can use LeadIQ to capture and sync contact data to your CRM in a few clicks.

With LeadIQ’s AI tool Scribe, you can do AI driven email generation, so you can connect with more people in less time with just minor personalization efforts. In LeadIQ’s usage dashboard, you can manage and monitor team performance.

Pricing plans

There are four plans: Free, Essential, Pro and Enterprise.

The Free plan gives you 50 verified emails per month, five phone numbers, 40 emails, and 10 tracked accounts.

The cheapest plan is called Essential and will set you back $36 per user per month. It gives you access to 1,000 emails, 50 phone numbers, 100 emails and 50 tracked accounts.

The Pro plan is $79 per month, which gets you access to 2,000 verified emails, 100 phone numbers and 500 emails per month, along with 100 tracked accounts and 100 tracked contacts.

The Enterprise plan doesn’t have publicly available pricing information, but you do get unlimited targeted prospecting, 200 phone numbers per month, 2,000 emails, 300 tracked accounts and 100 tracked contacts.

What are LeadIQ customers saying?

Many users report that the database is not that great, and it can often happen that no phone number is available for a contact. The same applies to company data.

“1. Often no number available, which is fatal as this is our only tool. I would like to request the possibility of searching in additional pools, etc., as we’re missing out on many opportunities. Cognims always provided us with at least one number, which, of course, was often of lower quality. 2. Scribe’s German wording doesn’t sound natural and requires many adjustments. 3. When filtering on a company’s LinkedIn site on certain personas or fields, the filter is being removed every time I switch to a different tab, which I often need to do, which is a shame. Also, the filter options are quite top-level – I’d expect more of a fine-tuned filter. 4. No company data is shown for many prospects, which is time-consuming to adjust manually. 5. After capturing or requesting a number, it is not automatically added to the CRM tools and I need to go back to the prospect, which creates a bit of an unnecessary back and forth in my opinion.” Source

There are issues with integrations not working as described, particularly with Salesforce.

“I would say one of the main downsides of LeadIQ that I have encountered is that it often encounters some issues integrating with Salesforce, so sometimes when I have a LinkedIn list of contacts I can’t import them directly to Salesforce because LeadIQ/Salesforce may have an issue determining what account the person is aligned to.” Source

The data is not always accurate, which can lead to some awkward situations. More than one person complained about getting through to the lead’s family member rather than the lead.

“Not all of Lead IQ’s contact information is accurate, and a lot of times, I have run into situations where I have gotten the wrong phone number from Lead IQ, and it is someone who may have the same name but not the same person as the prospect I was trying to reach. In some awkward instances, these phone numbers have sometimes been routed to a family member of that person, too. Overall, I have been satisfied with Lead IQ when it comes to sourcing contact information for prospects when tools such as ZoomInfo may not have been able to.” Source

It’s best suited for teams looking for unlimited email and phone number views without being locked into a strict export quota—though export limits still apply depending on your plan.

Key features:

  • Buyer intent data: Spot prospects who are actively researching your solution and prioritize outreach based on real intent signals.
  • Chrome extension: Instantly grab contact data while browsing websites or LinkedIn profiles.
  • CRM enhancer: Automatically enrich your CRM with fresh contact and firmographic details.

  • Enterprise Limited – Custom pricing: Flexible commitment and export limits, CRM integrations, API access, tracking data, and volume discounts.

Downsides:

The interface has a learning curve, especially for first-time users. Export caps can catch you off guard if you don’t pick the right plan. While pricing is competitive, the data quality doesn’t always match premium platforms like ZoomInfo, particularly for niche segments or smaller companies.

User reviews:

🟢 “Solid value for the price, especially with unlimited viewing.”
🔴 “Not intuitive—needs training to use effectively.”
🔴 “Export charges rack up fast if you aren’t careful with your plan.”
🔴 “Data quality lags behind bigger players like ZoomInfo.”

RocketReach

RocketReach homepage

RocketReach is a lead intelligence and prospecting platform used by sales teams, marketers, and recruiters to find verified contact details across global markets. Its key strength lies in helping users identify emails and phone numbers to power their outreach campaigns and hiring efforts.

Key features:

  • Global contact database: Find verified email addresses and phone numbers for prospects in almost any industry or region.
  • Advanced search filters: Narrow down leads based on title, company, location, and more.
  • Prospect list builder: Quickly create segmented lead lists for outreach or recruiting campaigns.
  • Chrome extension: Access contact info while browsing LinkedIn or company websites.
  • API and integrations: Connect RocketReach to CRMs and tools like Salesforce to keep data flowing between platforms.

Pricing:

There are three subscription options:

  • Essentials – $39/month (email access only)
  • Pro – $99/month (adds phone numbers and expanded lookup limits)
  • Ultimate – $249/month (includes API access, CRM enrichment, and Salesforce integration)

Downsides:

RocketReach can feel pricey for what it offers—especially for startups. Accuracy isn’t always top-notch, particularly for corporate emails, which some users report as outdated or unverifiable. The UI can be a bit slow, and there’s no real monthly payment flexibility on larger plans.

User reviews:

🟢 “Easy to find emails and get contact data quickly.”
🔴 “The pricing is out of touch for small businesses and there’s no real trial.”
🔴 “Email quality is often hit-or-miss and platform speed could be better.”

LeadGenius

LeadGenius homepage

LeadGenius is a growth automation and B2B data platform designed to help sales and marketing teams discover new accounts and enrich their existing lead lists. It focuses on providing custom data solutions for companies targeting specific buyer personas or hard-to-reach markets.

Key features:

  • Business tracking and scoring: Identify and prioritize companies based on custom criteria.
  • Net-new account discovery: Uncover businesses that aren’t yet in your CRM, helping expand your total addressable market.
  • Social follower tracking: Monitor online activity to identify potential prospects based on engagement behavior.
  • Data enrichment: Append missing fields to existing contact records and ensure accuracy.
  • International prospecting: Source contacts in hard-to-reach markets across various global regions.
  • Custom list building: Tailor prospect lists with firmographic and behavioral filters specific to your ICP.

Pricing:

Pricing is not available publicly. However, online sources suggest it starts at a minimum of $20,000/year. LeadGenius typically works with larger teams or enterprises that need tailored data and outreach solutions.

Downsides:

The platform’s lead accuracy isn’t always on target, which may result in wasted time filtering out irrelevant prospects. Some users note the lack of native HubSpot integration, which can be a blocker for seamless workflow automation. Because LeadGenius operates through a mix of tech and human researchers, turnarounds may be slower than fully automated tools.

User reviews:

🟢 “Highly customizable and useful for building contact lists at scale.”
🔴 “Sometimes, leads may be out of our preference or target audiences, making it difficult to close them as converted leads.”
🔴 “Adding a connector with Hubspot would be nice to have.”

Conclusion

LeadIQ, especially when paired with Sales Nav Chrome extension, makes for a good lead sourcing tool. However, the typical sales stack nowadays is complex and you really need one tool to do it all, or at least one tool for every sales process that plays well with the rest. And this is where it falls short.

Instead, we can help you do one thing masterfully: cold email. With Woodpecker, you can send personalized, effective cold emails that land in the primary inbox every time.
