Recently, I had a pleasure to talk to Matt from picksaas.com, an online company focused on finding useful cloud apps for businesses. He asked me about growing Woodpecker to +1000 customers, and about what cloud applications help us grow. Read the interview below.
There's a group of prospects that visit your website at least once but they don't take any action whatsoever. They don't sign up for a free trial, they don't sign up for a newsletter. Sometimes they might do that out of distraction, heavy workload, or absent-mindedness rather than them not liking your offer. Zoltan Gero, our guest writer for today, believes it's a perfect reason – a trigger – to contact those prospects by sending them a not-so-cold email campaign. He describes a step-by-step process of contacting those companies using Leadberry and Woodpecker integration via Zapier.
We've recently launched an option to connect an external SMTP from two email delivery providers: Mailgun and SendGrid. If you have been using one of those services to send your business emails, now it's easier for you to connect your SMTP to Woodpecker. If you haven't been using those, and frankly have a hazy idea what it is all about, you may want to learn more from this post. Either way, keep reading to find out when it makes sense to use Woodpecker's integrations with Mailgun and SendGrid and how you can actually benefit from that.
As I've said in the previous post, cold emailing isn't easy. You need to run many tests, see what works and what doesn't, until you find your own take on the process. Also, you're competing for prospect's attention with other "cold emailers". To win, you may like to borrow practices from other email senders, be that email marketers. Julia Samoilenko, Marketing Manager at Chanty, wrote a guest post about using videos and GIFs in email, an on-trend practice among email marketers. Of course, it won't work on every group of prospects, but some of you may want to test it out. Maybe in follow-up emails?
Have you ever felt like that? You've sent a cold email campaign and you've got poor response. "Argh, this just doesn't work for me..." I bet most of us have thought that to themselves at least once. In moments like that, we are usually demotivated and we feel helpless. We feel like we want to give up. But if you give up too soon, you might miss a lot of opportunities. Before giving up on cold emailing, you can do at least 12 things to verify if cold emails really don't work for you, or if they haven't work for you because you were missing something in your approach. See what you can do.
Before you venture into prospecting, you should have an ideal customer profile in place. However, what if you have an ICP worked out and you're stuck because you don't know where to search for prospects? Today, I'll show you that the online places you enjoy being at can lend itself perfectly to building a quality contact list. And that's based on Wojtek's, Head of Outbound Sales, experience.
I write a lot about cold email outreach automation, which is a part of outbound sales. But today I've got something quite different that I want to share with you. I want to show you how your own inbound sales team can use email automation to contact people who have signed up for a free trial. This is something I believe played a huge role in getting Woodpecker from 1 to nearly 3000 B2B customers in 4 years. Keep reading to learn more about the whole process and see some email templates.
