In Woodpecker, you can buy domains and mailboxes directly from domain providers. If you're at a point where you don't have enough domains for safe sending, and you're not sure where to buy them, you can purchase them directly via our app.
There are two options for two types of senders, depending on the volume of cold email you're sending:
Buying domains and emails on a shared server – for those who send smaller amounts of emails (powered by Maildoso, Google, Mailforge, and Microsoft).
Buying domains and emails on a dedicated server – for those who send bigger amounts of emails. Thanks to the dedicated server, deliverability is not impacted by anyone else, and only the owner can send cold emails on that server (powered by Infraforge).
Domains purchased through Woodpecker are optimized for sending cold emails in Woodpecker. DNS and nameserver settings aren't available to you, but you can be sure they'll be properly configured after purchase.
For more details on the domains and mailboxes purchased via Woodpecker, see our article here.
Sometimes they might need a while to synchronize the provider's settings with Woodpecker – you can click the "Refresh" button in the Domain Check-up tab to update the information if you see a red X next to the DNS records.
Why dedicated infrastructure?
A dedicated infrastructure for sending—such as a private server with dedicated IPs—ensures that your sender reputation is not affected by other users, giving you complete control over email deliverability, compliance, and reputation management.
With dedicated infrastructure, only you send emails from that server, so your deliverability is not impacted by the actions of others. This setup is ideal for those sending larger volumes of emails, as it provides optimal performance and helps maintain a strong sender reputation.
In contrast, shared infrastructure uses shared IPs and resources, which can be influenced by other users and may negatively impact your deliverability if others engage in poor sending practices.
It's also worth having domains from different providers, as diversifying your Email Service Provider (ESP) infrastructure is a critical tactic for maintaining high inbox deliverability and protecting your main domain from spam blacklisting. By spreading your outreach volume across different providers and domains, you reduce the risk of account suspension.
