What is the Bounce Shield tab?
In this tab, you’ll find the Current Bounce Rate for your whole campaign from the last 28 days. This rate will be calculated based on the status of prospects, as updated in real time. The Current Bounce Rate data will be available after sending at least 20 emails.
Under the Current Bounce Rate, you’ll have the option to enable/disable this functionality with a switch. When enabled, the campaign auto-pauses when the bounce rate reaches a specified threshold. The default value is set to 2%.
Let’s say the value is set to 10% – if the number of bounces in the campaign reaches that rate, the campaign will be automatically paused, and you will be notified of that on your campaign list. The campaign won’t restart until you manually restart it.
If you decide to start the campaign anyway and change the value from 10% to, for example, 20%, the Bounce shield will be ignored for 7 days from that moment – meaning that the bounce rate won’t be checked during this time.
Every status change in the campaign affects the bounce rate, but only if the prospect was contacted with at least one email. If the prospect has been automatically assigned the “Bounced” status and you change it to Responded/Autoreplied/Opt-out/Blacklist, the bounce rate will decrease.
If the prospect’s status is changed from Active/Responded/Autoreplied/Opt-out/Blacklisted to Bounced, the bounce rate will be increased. If you make such a change, but no email has been sent to them, it won’t affect the Current Bounce Rate of this campaign.
