First steps to launch a campaign
When you join Woodpecker, the first view you see will be three options regarding creating the campaign.
You can choose between:
generating a campaign draft with our AI Agent,
using a sample campaign,
creating the campaign manually.
Keep in mind that even when creating the campaign using our AI Agent, it’s good to check for yourself how the campaign looks, if the email copy is the one you wanted, etc., before starting the campaign.
For the purposes of this article, we will focus on creating a campaign manually.
This article won’t cover all campaign creation details, but you can check this one after completing the onboarding.
With each new campaign draft, you’ll see an onboarding in the bottom left corner with steps to be completed. You’ll need to add content to a campaign step, add a sender email address, add prospects, review the campaign, and run it. Each completed step will be marked with a green tick. Only after all steps are done will the pop-up window disappear.
You can click on each step to be quickly redirected to the corresponding element in the campaign editor.
Then, add a sender email in the Settings tab. It’s even better to add multiple sender emails, and this is what Woodpecker presents as Inbox Rotation – a mechanism that will help with your content deliverability, reduce the chances of exceeding the provider's limits, and thus relieve one mailbox from sending to all prospects.
Next, add the prospects you want to send the campaign to. You can choose to add them from Lead Finder, or add your own prospects manually, from a file, from a database, from integrations, or from LinkedIn.
After you’ve added prospects, make sure all snippets are filled in if you’ve used any in the campaign copy, and review the entire campaign to ensure everything is set as intended.
If everything is ready, click the “Run” button to start the campaign. Don’t worry if sending doesn’t start right away during the delivery time; Woodpecker needs a few minutes to process everything. Once sending starts, you can monitor progress and edit the campaign at any time if needed.
