Here are a few examples of spam.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Blasting a million <span id=\"urn:enhancement-34e28229\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">emails<\/span> to millions of people with either a scam or overt pitch from an untrustworthy source.<\/li>\n<li>Blasting a million <span id=\"urn:enhancement-6a83de3b\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">emails<\/span> to a few people without regard to their desire to opt out and not even providing a way for them to opt out.<\/li>\n<li>Running a scam and using <span id=\"urn:enhancement-fdb6431c\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">email<\/span> to scam people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Do you do these things? Stop reading and think about your choices.<\/p>\n<p>Now, let\u2019s get into sending powerful cold <span id=\"urn:enhancement-e0effae1\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">email<\/span> outreach to the right people.<\/p>\n<h2>How Cold Emailing Leads Can Grow Your Business<\/h2>\n<p>Let\u2019s define. Cold <span id=\"urn:enhancement-24c50291\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">Email<\/span> Outreach Is: Sending <span id=\"urn:enhancement-2dc2a35b\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">emails<\/span> to the <span id=\"urn:enhancement-e8bf3886\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">inbox<\/span> of hyper-targeted contacts that contain an offer your prospects find interesting.<\/p>\n<p>To put this in the negative, your results won\u2019t be great if you<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Send to too broad of an audience<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t do your research (or have a quality lead source)<\/li>\n<li>Try to sell your products\/services from <span id=\"urn:enhancement-67e5b8f2\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">email<\/span> one (as opposed to having an enticing free offer)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Let\u2019s find your market.<\/p>\n<h2>Figuring Your Favorite Customers<\/h2>\n<p>Don\u2019t mean to sound like a motivational speaker, but here goes\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Before you go forward, you have to look back. Specifically, to your current and past customers.<\/p>\n<p>The people who keep showing up and are always satisfied with your company. That\u2019s who you want to replicate.<\/p>\n<p>It takes understanding a few things.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The markets\/industries of those customers<\/li>\n<li>The decision makers (namely, their role)<\/li>\n<li>How they spend money (e.g. tech they use)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now, we can log into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leadfuze.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LeadFuze<\/a> and find those exact leads!<\/p>\n<h2>What\u2019s the Best Market to Find Leads?<\/h2>\n<p>In order to keep things clear, I\u2019ll use an example.<\/p>\n<p>Example Company: Software testing company <a href=\"https:\/\/bugbug.io\/\">BugBug<\/a> looking to pitch media companies on comprehensive web and application development.<\/p>\n<p>Makes sense in an age of streaming that media companies would want top-notch applications and web capabilities to showcase their content.<\/p>\n<p>For finding these leads, you\u2019ll want to really hone in on four different factors.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Role of the decision maker and influencers<\/li>\n<li>The industry you\u2019re targeting<\/li>\n<li>The size of the company (based on employees)<\/li>\n<li>Tech used by prospects that indicate money being spent on products\/services like yours.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Doing this manually would take hours of prospecting every week. Let\u2019s take a look at how easy it is with LeadFuze.<\/p>\n<h2>Using LeadFuze to Find Your Best Prospects<\/h2>\n<p>After logging into LeadFuze, you\u2019d click the \u201cSearch for Leads\u201d button in the top left.<\/p>\n<p>Doing this will take you directly to our \u201cMarket Based\u201d option. This is the app filtering out titles that would not be decision makers.<\/p>\n<h3>2. Industry Criteria<\/h3>\n<p>Now, we\u2019ll input the industry. There are dozens to choose from, which is why I\u2019m sticking with an example of \u201cmedia\u201d companies. This will allow you to keep your outreach clean and test which markets work better.<\/p>\n<h3>3. Size of the Brand<\/h3>\n<p>Give some thought into who\u2019s going to take you seriously AND be able to afford you.<\/p>\n<p>In our case, you\u2019ll want some good-sized <span id=\"urn:enhancement-26fb6266\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">businesses<\/span> who have the budget to create a streaming platform with all the bells and whistles.<\/p>\n<p>That said, if you\u2019re a solopreneur doing websites for small <span id=\"urn:enhancement-7294a7bb\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">businesses<\/span>, you probably don\u2019t want to pitch Viacom.<\/p>\n<p>LeadFuze separates this into 3 broad groups of small, medium and large <span id=\"urn:enhancement-8c3ec4f4\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">businesses<\/span>. Tech (and Other) Criteria<\/h3>\n<p>Now we\u2019re getting into some of the most exciting criteria for really zooming in on your target market.<\/p>\n<p>Finding companies that are already spending money in your field is goldmine-level data. (For instance, you can hook up your CRM and Woodpecker.) Then, you can have a number of leads pulled fresh from this search and put in those tools each and every day \u2014 on autopilot.<\/p>\n<p>This is where the power of the integration between LeadFuze and Woodpecker comes into play.<\/p>\n<p>You pull 50 leads a day from LeadFuze (based on a search very similar to our example). Giving away all or part of the tactics you use. Then, offering to get paid to implement them. But don&#8217;t mention word &#8220;free&#8221; in the email &#8212; it&#8217;s a SPAM-triggering word.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Case Studies<\/strong>: This one would work well for our example, \u201cSee how Nickelodeon increases watch time and ad revenue by XX%\u201d (see how\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/woodpecker.co\/blog\/cold-email\/blog-content\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> content on your blog\u00a0 <\/a>can boost your email outreach).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Webinar<\/strong>: You can actually put a consultation and\/or case studies into a video form and create a webinar. Sending leads an invite is a great way to start the conversation and lure them into an environment for a pitch. Remember to <a href=\"https:\/\/woodpecker.co\/blog\/follow-up\/webinar-email-samples\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">follow-up after a webinar<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/woodpecker.co\/blog\/cold-email\/8-resources\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Here\u2019s a great example<\/a> of cold emailing tips from the Woodpecker blog and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leadfuze.com\/cold-email-template-and-examples\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here\u2019s one from us<\/a> at LeadFuze.<\/p>\n<h3>Test, Test, and Test Some More<\/h3>\n<p>I\u2019ve seen some dismal open rates and click-throughs over the years. But I\u2019ve also noted the possible benchmarks just about anyone can achieve through testing and tweaking over time.<\/p>\n<p>Essentially, you should shoot for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>30%-40% Open Rates<\/li>\n<li>5% Clicks (or Responses)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Make a huge list of elements, sentences and even different offers to make and start them one at a time.
