We asked several experts from different industries to share their take\u2014based on results, not just opinions.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cold email: Still the workhorse for conversions<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><b>\u201cIn my experience, cold email tends to outperform LinkedIn for B2B outreach, especially in terms of scalability and conversions,\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> says <\/span><b>Arzu Ozkan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Marketing Manager at<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.retable.io\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Retable<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She backs it up with data:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWhen we ran a campaign targeting mid-sized SaaS companies, cold emails achieved a 12% reply rate and a 5% meeting booking rate, while LinkedIn outreach for the same audience delivered only a 7% reply rate and 2% meeting rate.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But Arzu doesn\u2019t rule out LinkedIn entirely. In fact, she found that combining both channels yielded the best results:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe\u2019ve seen that starting with light LinkedIn engagement (viewing profiles, liking posts) before sending cold emails lifted our reply rates to 15%.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Her verdict? Cold emails still lead in direct outreach, <\/span><b>but LinkedIn helps warm up leads for better results when used together<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LinkedIn-first approach: Build trust, then pitch<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><b>Sweta Panigrahi<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, CMO at<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/autolayout.co\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Autolayout<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, strongly believes in building context before cold outreach.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI would bet on LinkedIn outreach first, followed by cold email. A random email in someone\u2019s inbox might feel intrusive, but when you\u2019ve already engaged with them by liking, commenting, visiting their profile, or following them, it makes a huge difference in sales.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sweta\u2019s team used this strategy during Autolayout\u2019s launch:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe gained over 1,000 users in just six weeks without a big budget. Our strategy? Posting on our LinkedIn page and reaching out to prospects, asking for their emails for early access. The response was even better than expected\u2014nearly 43% of LinkedIn prospects engaged with us via cold email because we had already built a connection with them on LinkedIn.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In other words, <\/span><b>LinkedIn didn\u2019t just warm up leads\u2014it made cold email feel less cold.<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Clear win for LinkedIn? Not so fast<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some leaders are firmly in the LinkedIn camp.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span> <b>Arnaud Belinga<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, CEO at<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakcold.com\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Breakcold<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, puts it plainly:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cLinkedIn is hands down better for B2B outreach. At Breakcold, we have customers who added anywhere between $10K to $60K MRR in under 6 months through that channel.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For Arnaud, <\/span><b>the platform\u2019s ability to foster trust and visibility early in the buyer journey is hard to beat<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014especially for subscription-driven SaaS companies.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hybrid strategies and the role of cold calling<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><b>Sam Ahmad<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, SEO expert at<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/spacebring.com\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spacebring<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, sees the cold email vs. LinkedIn debate as part of a larger shift in how recruiters and B2B sellers approach outbound.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe debate between LinkedIn vs. cold email is relevant in recruitment too. Just like cold calling, messages see better results when you\u2019ve already built some familiarity. A well-researched LinkedIn connection or email can warm up a prospect before the call, making them more receptive.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">His advice?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cDon\u2019t start cold.
