If so, you should\u00a0keep reading. Lately we\u2019ve introduced some massive improvements into <span id=\"urn:enhancement-261b3710\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-organization\">Woodpecker<\/span>&#8216;s interface to improve the UX.\u00a0Now our users can easily and safely add, manage, and delete their prospects&#8217; data. Here&#8217;s what&#8217;s new and how it&#8217;s better than before.<\/p>\n<h2>Add prospects <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013<\/span> totally refreshed<\/h2>\n<p>There have been some major changes in the process of adding new prospects to your database in <span id=\"urn:enhancement-15c2d9e6\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-organization\">Woodpecker<\/span>. Now you have\u00a03\u00a0distinctly separated ways to add prospects to your campaign:<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>import<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>manually<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>from database<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How to do this now?<\/h3>\n<p>You will see the three options when you click on the Add prospects button in your campaign overview or in campaign editing mode, as well as in the campaign overview (to allow you easily add new prospects to a running campaign).<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2072 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/woodpecker.co\/blog\/app\/uploads\/2016\/08\/add-3-options-e1471871051331.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"692\" height=\"98\" \/>\n<p>Just choose one of the 3 options\u00a0and follow the further steps to add new prospects. At the end of each of the ways, just click ADD and be sure what data you&#8217;re adding at the moment and how many prospects will be added. Check below\u00a0what each of the three ways looks like.<\/p>\n<h4>Import<\/h4>\n<p>Click on <em><strong>Add prospects -&gt;Manually. <\/strong><\/em>From this point, the path\u00a0hasn&#8217;t changed very much. To see how importing\u00a0prospects from .csv works in <span id=\"urn:enhancement-165935b1\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-organization\">Woodpecker<\/span>, <a href=\"https:\/\/help.woodpecker.co\/article\/6-quickstart-1-campaign#prospects\">go to Quickstart Guide Vol 1<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s one new helpful thing here, though. Sometimes a few\u00a0of the records in your database may include errors (usually wrong format <span id=\"urn:enhancement-d89309a9\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">email addresses<\/span>).<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"urn:enhancement-a5485c3d\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-organization\">Woodpecker<\/span> won&#8217;t import a contact if there&#8217;s something wrong with their email address. And now in the import summary, you&#8217;ll be able to download all the identified\u00a0<strong>Errors<\/strong>\u00a0to correct the wrong format email addresses in a .csv and eventually add them to your campaign. Sometimes it&#8217;s as little as lack of a dot.<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2077 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/woodpecker.co\/blog\/app\/uploads\/2016\/08\/download_ERRORS-e1471876736431.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"692\" height=\"311\" \/>\n<p>What\u00a0a bummer it would be to lose a <span id=\"urn:enhancement-25e30b4a\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\">sales<\/span> opportunity due to lack of a stupid dot, wouldn&#8217;t it? \u00a0That&#8217;s why we want our users\u00a0to be able to easily find and correct such errors in their\u00a0contact base.<\/p>\n<h4>Manually<\/h4>\n<p>It&#8217;s not a very common way of adding prospects to <span id=\"urn:enhancement-beb838b7\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-organization\">Woodpecker<\/span>, but it&#8217;s useful if you want to add just a few special prospects to your campaign.<\/p>\n<p>To do that, you just pick\u00a0<em><strong>Add prospects -&gt;Manually<\/strong><\/em>, and you&#8217;ll be able to edit a spreadsheet similar to the Google or Excel one. You just <strong>type in the prospects&#8217; data<\/strong>\u00a0(only email required), and press Enter or Tab to go to the next column. As you type in your prospects&#8217; data, <strong>click <em>&#8216;Add&#8217;<\/em><\/strong> below the table to add the prospects to your campaign.<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"video-container\">\n    <video autoplay loop muted playsinline>\n        <source src=\"https:\/\/woodpecker.co\/blog\/app\/uploads\/2021\/03\/manually-add-nowy-2.mp4\">\n    <\/video>\n<\/div><\/p>\n<p>This one may be especially handy when testing Woodpecker. If you haven&#8217;t done that yet, you can <a href=\"https:\/\/woodpecker.co\/cold-email\/\">sign up for a 14-day trial<\/a> right now.<\/p>\n<h4>From database<\/h4>\n<p>If you already have some prospects previously\u00a0uploaded to\u00a0your general <em><strong>Prospects<\/strong><\/em> database in <span id=\"urn:enhancement-e2324dee\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-organization\">Woodpecker<\/span>, you can pick some contacts from there while creating your campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Firstly, you of course pick <em><strong>Add prospects -&gt; From database.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Next, you&#8217;ll see the familiar spreadsheet with all your previously uploaded prospects&#8217; data (but only of those prospects who are not in your campaign yet).<\/p>\n<p>To add them, you just <strong>tick them<\/strong> on the list and <strong>click <em>&#8216;Add&#8217;<\/em><\/strong> right under the spreadsheet.<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"video-container\">\n    <video autoplay loop muted playsinline>\n        <source src=\"https:\/\/woodpecker.co\/blog\/app\/uploads\/2021\/03\/database-add-nowy.mp4\">\n    <\/video>\n<\/div><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s the three ways for adding new prospects&#8217; data to your campaigns in <span id=\"urn:enhancement-5b8a35a9\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-organization\">Woodpecker<\/span>. But that&#8217;s not the only feature\u00a0we&#8217;ve improved. Here comes the refreshed database spreadsheet.<\/p>\n<h2>Manage prospects<\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve been working on <span id=\"urn:enhancement-f77bac58\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-organization\">Woodpecker<\/span>&#8216;s prospect spreadsheet before, you know that there was a lot to improve in terms of user experience. You really might want to play with\u00a0the spreadsheet now.<\/p>\n<h3>Refreshed prospects spreadsheet<\/h3>\n<p>From the very beginning, we wanted the spreadsheet to have the Excel-like look and feel. We knew lots of cold email senders work on spreadsheets, and the table was to provide the familiar experience.\u00a0But our\u00a0table initially wasn&#8217;t as flexible as the well-known spreadsheets.<\/p>\n<p>Now the table transformed. A lot. Here&#8217;s what you can do in <span id=\"urn:enhancement-5f36a34\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-organization\">Woodpecker<\/span>&#8216;s contact base spreadsheet at the moment:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>hide<\/strong> <strong>the columns<\/strong> you don&#8217;t need to see<\/li>\n<li><strong>adjust the width<\/strong> of the columns (grab the frame and pull or double click on a cell to auto-adjust to the content)<\/li>\n<li><strong>change the order<\/strong> of the columns with\u00a0drag-and-drop<\/li>\n<li><strong>sort the rows<\/strong> according to a chosen column (click on the column label)<\/li>\n<li><strong>spread the table for the full screen width<\/strong> (especially helpful if you work on a bigger screen and like to see all the columns at once)<\/li>\n<li><strong>conveniently search<\/strong> for specific prospects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><div class=\"video-container\">\n    <video autoplay loop muted playsinline>\n        <source src=\"https:\/\/woodpecker.co\/blog\/app\/uploads\/2021\/03\/spreadsheet-prospects.mp4\">\n    <\/video>\n<\/div><\/p>\n<p>All those little touches make the spreadsheet much more flexible and significantly more convenient to use.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, right from the prospects spreadsheet, you can quickly:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>jump to the overview of the campaign\u00a0a chosen prospect has been\u00a0in,<\/li>\n<li>and see all\u00a0the emails the\u00a0prospect already got.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To do that, just click on the number in the column called <strong><em>&#8220;In Campaign&#8221;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2089 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/woodpecker.co\/blog\/app\/uploads\/2016\/08\/view-campaign-overview-from-tabel-e1471954281150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"693\" height=\"128\" \/>\n<h2>Delete prospects<\/h2>\n<p>Yes, you can finally delete prospects <strong>from your<\/strong> <strong>campaigns<\/strong> and the <strong>main <em>Prospects<\/em> list<\/strong> in <span id=\"urn:enhancement-2052b04b\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-organization\">Woodpecker<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>It took us almost 1,5 year to implement this &#8220;basic&#8221; function. We know that the lack of this function seemed counter-intuitive. However, you need to know that deleting prospects had to be analyzed\u00a0in and out between we decided to add the function. We needed to take into account\u00a0each and every corner case of deletion and its consequences for our users.<\/p>\n<p>Our main concern here was your reputation as email senders. Deleting prospects without necesarry precautions could result\u00a0in you sending emails to people who in fact shouldn&#8217;t get messages from you.
