Delivery rate\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This one is easy to measure. Spam placement rate<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spam placement rate is the number of emails delivered to spam folders, either flagged as spam by humans or Internet Service Providers (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/help.campaignmonitor.com\/how-why-isps-block-emails#about-isps\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ISPs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you use GlockApps to test your inbox placement, you\u2019ll also see an estimated spam placement rate &#8211; it&#8217;s marked in read on the screen above.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As to the reasons &#8211; there are many factors that can push your emails into spam. Open rate<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Open rate is the simplest email marketing KPI and the success of your <a href=\"https:\/\/woodpecker.co\/blog\/how-to-write-a-cold-email-that-actually-works-six-step-tutorial\/\">cold email<\/a> campaigns depends on it (right after the emails landing in a prospect\u2019s main inbox, that is).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most email campaigns in 2021 reached an<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.smartinsights.com\/email-marketing\/email-communications-strategy\/statistics-sources-for-email-marketing\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">open rate of a little over 24%<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Out of every 100 emails sent, only 24 were actually opened.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">7. Complaint rate<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spam complaints happen when the recipients see your email as irrelevant or annoying and report it as spam. And no one is safe from getting such complaints, even if you\u2019re doing everything by the books.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The complaint rate is the number of people who reported your email as spam out of the total number of messages you\u2019ve sent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most common way recipients can report email as spam is by clicking the \u201creport spam\u201d or \u201cthis is spam\u201d button in their inbox. Beside that, the recipient can email spam agencies (for example SpamCop) or use the Microsoft Spam Fighters Program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can prevent a high complaint rate by:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">providing value to the recipients<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">sending relevant, personalized messages<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">adding an unsubscribe link to get your contacts to unsubscribe from your list instead of marking your message as spam<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">8. Spam trap rate<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spam traps are used by major Internet Service Providers (ISPs) or anti-spam organizations to identify spammers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spam traps look like real email addresses, but they don\u2019t belong to real people.
